**34 Coney Street - a brand new holiday let development of the highest quality right in the city centre**
Coney Street, York’s premier shopping street was home to some colourful characters down the ages. In 1150, the main street in York, was called Cuningstrete, the King’s Street. It ran from Ousegate right to the Museum Gardens. By the 18th century it was the site of the seat of government in the city, with the Guildhall and the Mansion House in pride of place. But it was in the 19th century that it became a shopping centre par excellence, with high class fashion establishments, costumiers, furriers, milliners, linen drapers, pianoforte warehouse, bookshops and jewellers, as well as the home of York’s first department store, Leak and Thorp which opened in 1869.
The Viking Suite
This luxury suite placed at the top of the building has a fabulous view of the York Minster. Part of the roof of the building has been replaced with glass, enabling you to sit in your own private hideaway with views that will keep you entertained for hours. Throughout the apartment there are subtle nods to the ancient Viking settlers of York, amongst which is the striking tribal style patterned wallpaper, inspired by Viking carvings. Furniture and fabrics have been chosen to reflect the colours within nature and the outdoors, ensuring high quality fabric and beautiful textures.
There is a lounge complete with Smart TV, comfortable seating and hand crafted furniture. Further in and you enter a fabulous glassed area with a bar area and seating so that you can admire the world renowned York Minster. There is a sumptuous double bedroom for resting after a fun day out in York or a fabulous evenings entertainment. Complimented by a luxury shower room where you can take your time getting ready to go out into York, which sits only a step away from the front door. You are surrounded by fantastic places to eat and drink, theatres, world famous race course and 100 of years of history - a lot of which can be seen from your own private viewing deck.
This is a truly special place, right in the very heart of the stunning historic city of York.
Although there is no parking with the apartment, there are a variety of paid for parking options close by. Just enquire for details.

The apartments are stunning. Beautifully finished. We were also moved to another apartment which was a lot cooler and also a beautiful room (the opticians). Really nice staff to speak to on the phone and all was sorted with little fuss. I would 100% stay again. Perfect location beautifully decorated and brand new. Price I think is pretty fair considering what some hotels are charging for really average rooms. These offer something completely different. Thanks for looking after us and allowing us to move.

We stayed in the penthouse shortly after our wedding as a mini moon gift from our lovely friends. Finding the apartments was really easy and easy to use the code to access the building and room. The decor is beautiful and our room had an amazing view of the Minster. The location is great and we found bars and restaurants in no time. After a gorgeous nights sleep in the comfy bed, we had a lazy morning with a coffee before exploring York again. Would definitely recommend staying here as it felt like so much more of a treat than using a hotel chain.

Absolutely breathtaking. If you like luxury, you’ll love this place. We had the penthouse room with the most stunning sunset views over York. The thought and detail that has been put into the apartment are second to none. The location is right in the city centre so it’s perfect for a weekend getaway. Can not wait to come back!!

Our stay at 34 Coney Street could not have gone better. Finding the apartments is easy as it’s right in the centre of York! So convenient for shops, restaurants, bars and walks around the beautiful city.
I’ve been lucky enough to see several of the apartments and they are finished to the highest standard of luxury and practicality for a night away. There’s nothing more you could ask for! Spotless and impeccably maintained.
The beds are super comfy and inviting and the bathrooms are so luxurious. These rooms are so much bigger than your standard hotel room and are priced so reasonably- we’ll definitely be going back!
