Combining quirky original features with modern conveniences and a secluded city centre location, Walmgate Cottage is perfect for exploring York. 2 good sized, individually furnished double bedrooms, one of which can be made as a double or a twin room have lots of natural light, and plenty of all important storage. The bathroom with has a beautiful walk in shower, and again has been finished to a very high standard.
The well appointed living space, has relaxed & dining seating for 4 and after a busy day a flat screen smart TV for relaxing in front of. The bright, modern kitchen has all the modern conveniences to make any stay easier.

An amazing little cottage could not fault it if I tried.As a family we had loads of fun. The cottage is close to everything you could possibly need or require in York. We will definitely be returning I. The new year.

Lovely few days in York in a beautiful, quirky, well-located cottage. Fantastic location for a short stay in York, walking distance to all the sites. All amenities to hand too. Lovely quirky little cottage - and quiet given the central location.

Fantastic family stay! Loved the location of this property as it was bang central to all the shops, restaurants & sites in York . The property was very clean , cosy & comfortable which made for a fantastic stay ! I would definitely book again & almost certainly will in the future.

Comfortable stay in central York.
Nicely furnished cottage, very central for all York attractions. The food hamper was a nice surprise. The place was very clean and felt Covid safe. The place is quite quirky, all the walls and floors are squint, but this added to the charm of this old building.

What an amazing place to stay, beautiful, very old building with lots of history. Centrally located , yet quiet and a stones throw from the centre of York. Lovely touch with a hamper of goodies too. Excellent communication, perfect stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.. The house is very quirky and not a flat floor to be had, but this adds to the beautiful charm. Thank you so much. We will definitely come back and stay.

Excellent location situated in the centre of York, quiet position tucked away, a beautiful and quaint period Georgian property, spotlessly clean facilities, tastefully decorated, crisp quality sheets and towels, good sized rooms, comfortable quality beds, a thoughtful welcome hamper on arrival and a helpful comprehensive guest information folder.

“A nice sized yet cosy cottage in the centre of York. Great central location, but quiet. Good amenities and welcome pack. Nicely decorated as per pictures. Good communication from Stays. Parking is a 5 min walk away, but you can park up outside to load/unload.”

| “Walmgate cottages location is outstanding. Basically on the edge of the main town close to everything you need . Reasturants ,bars, supermarket and the beautiful sights of york. The cottage has plenty of space for a family of 4. It is has a modern interior with all ammentities. As others have stated it is definitely quirky and is on quite a lean with floors and walls out of level . You will see what I mean when you stay here but I would definitely recommend to stay in this apartment.” |
