Built in 2016, this one bedroom property has been constructed to a very high standard throughout. ‘The Smithy’ is located in the village of Fulford, a short 5 minute drive from the city centre. There is private off street parking just next to the property for your convenience.
The cottage itself has a fantastic open plan feel in the downstairs area. The spacious living area runs through into the high specification kitchen. The kitchen area features a range of high end appliances including washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher etc. A very nice feature of this property is the large skylight above the kitchen that allows a great deal of natural light in. Patio doors open on to the private outdoor area that’s perfect for summer evenings and a very rare feature for a one bedroom property. A staircase leads to the upstairs bedroom. The adjoining ensuite has been tastefully styled and features a good size walk in shower.
The property can also accommodate 1 small, well-behaved dog in the downstairs living area.

Great little house, nice layout and the courtyard in the back was lovely for relaxing in the sun. The parking was very convenient. Surprisingly quiet being a little way off the main street which is great.
Delighted with our stay
Everything was wonderful, great location for York as bus stop very close... Cottage had a quiet location in a court yard and all furnishings were top rate.. Would thoroughly recommend.. Stays York were very professional and easy to deal with...
A week in York visiting newborn family
Strait forward instructions given for gaining access to the property, although it was tricky to find the the entry route at times of heavy traffic. We became expect with time. Loved the welcomers hamper and thoughtful provision of small items often forgotten.eg.dishwasher tablet.Also enjoyed selection of cookbooks. Black bin full on arrival ( understandable) Would be useful to illustrate on the notice board as to the necessity of placing this at the street entrance. The door handle on the downstairs loo was a safety hazard in an emergency situation as this came off completely and could cause panic in a child or older visitor. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our short break in York and apologies again as our hasty departure scrambled the location for the key on exit. My fault entirely
