A mid 19th century sawmill, situated on the mediaeval quay, it provides fabulous views up and down the river and also over to the stunning York Minster. This apartment was amazing, everything you needed, all amenities provided, clean and really well decorated and the hamper of local goods provided was amazing. Very central location, I would highly recommend this apartment and very competitively priced.
Great stay at The Penthouse at Quayside
The apartment is brilliantly situated for visiting York with the added bonus of parking right in the centre. Spotlessly clean, everything you could need provided in the apartment and a very thoughtful welcome pack. Easy access to city centre, York Minster, City Wall Walk and river for walks - although river had flooded during our visit due to the heavy rain but didn't spoil anything. Have stayed in a number of places in York - both hotels and rented properties - and this is the best we have found. Will definitely return - unless it's become too popular!!!
Central, comfortable apartment
Great location and views from windows it should be noted that the central location by the river came with some evening noise. The apartment is great, well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen was very well kitted. Instructions for entry, departure and appliance use very clear. Parking a real bonus in this part of town. The only negative was that the second bathroom only had a bath, with no shower .not ideal for two couples sharing.
