This striking 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment is situated in Ryedale House - an exclusive, private development in the heart of York’s historic core. The Castle Suites @ Ryedale House is on the 4th floor and offers fabulous views over to the historic York Walls and Clifford Tower.

It boasts three bedrooms, 2 with king size beds and one that can also be made up as either a super king or a twin room. Perfect for a family holiday in York. Both king size bedrooms have the added benefit of having shower ensuites. There is also the main family bathroom off the hallway complete with a shower over the bath.

When you enter the apartment you are immediately struck by the finishes, right down to the individual room scents that have been meticulously selected to match the apartment. The designers have chosen the finishing touches with great thought and care, from the large, comfortable beds to the spacious seating area in the lounge.

Great comfortable apartment with everything you need for a stay in York. Welcome pack and very helpful instruction booklet which gives information about the Apartment and where to go and what to see in York. Very close to all the local sites of interest, shops, pubs and restaurants.

We were a family group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Castle Suite. This is the second time we have stayed here; the place was just as good as we remembered from our first stay, and we would definitely return on our next trip. Accommodation is a very good size for our group, the location in the centre of York is excellent, and the views over the River Foss to Clifford's Tower are great. While the rooms were all very clean, I could only give a rating of 4 for cleanliness as the TV had some dirty marks, as did the main sliding window - but these were very minor and did not detract from our stay in any way. The building is very quiet. We stayed during a summer heatwave, and while there was no A/C, there were large fans in all of the bedrooms, and we were able to sleep comfortably - despite the location, there was very little outside noise even with the windows open. There are several excellent eateries and bars within walking distance. Finally, the welcome hamper was a nice touch, which we thoroughly appreciated. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

The Castle Suite is a spacious, modern and attractive place to stay in the heart of York. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see and do and our car was on-hand in the secure parking provided at Ryedale House for anything we needed it for. For a “Short Break” to a city with so many sights and so much to do this apartment is superb - it’s not often you find a place to stay which you are so happy to return to at the end of each day and which is a part of the trip that you miss when you’ve finished. Our only piece of feedback that could be construed as “requires improvement” is that the furniture in the lounge area isn’t laid out for comfortable watching of the TV, but as that forms such a tiny part of a holiday here it’s not important.

From start to finish, booking, communication and the actual stay were all great. Stays Yorks are a great company and offer quality properties. Our apartment was in a fantastic location and offered great views over York. 2 mins walk and you are in the heart of the city, close to attractions and all the shopping you could think of. It’s was clean, furniture was high end and just perfect all round. I have nothing negative to stay at all.

Booked this beautiful apartment for my twin sons 27th birthday due to location and having three double bedrooms with bathrooms/showers. Location perfect for city centre and fabulous views. Kitchen nice but missing washing up bowl and plug didn’t retain water for small amounts of washing up. There was a dishwasher though. Everything was really nice but what let it down was the cleaning . The extractor fan was filthy and covered in grease as were the underside of cupboards. Under the furniture had never been cleaned or down the sides where there were previous guests dirty tissues ! When we first walked in the apartment was stunning but the smell of dirty drains hit us. I had to clean all the shower traps and plug holes which to be fair weren’t dirty it was that the water was stagnant and the Mel was everywhere. This was sad as lots of nice diffusers and all the cleaners needed to do was run the showers and taps a few minutes to flush the water away. Another point was there were no shelves in the master en suite and the sink is tiny so no where to put your toothbrush and toiletries and no hand towel hook. Simple to sort. We were provided with keys and the agent was excellent. Parking for two cars was great. Description for entry and key safe was poor but reception at the apartment block were very helpful. A better description of how to get keys would be good. Would we stay here again … absolutely. It was near to the centre with shops close by . It was well kitted out, modern and comfortable. Large beds and gorgeous linen. The little York hamper was also a lovely gesture. Thx you for a great stay

5 girls on a break to York. Accommodation was amazing..second time we have been to this apartment. Very spacious ,fabulous views over the river with panoramic views of the castle. Apartment was very clean and beds were super comfy. Would definitely recommend this if you are visiting York. Check in was very smooth and the receptionist was very helpful.

Great location and beautiful modern apartment. Beds were very comfortable, blackout curtains in the bedrooms and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The lovely welcome bag of goodies was a nice touch! Really convenient having secure car parking included. The only thing that let it down slightly was that there was a reasonable layer of dust on the top shelves in the bedrooms and some of the higher surfaces/shelves around the apartment. We had a wonderful 3 day stay and would highly recommend!

Brilliant apartment, has really got the ‘wow’ factor with the view, kitchen well stocked with everything for 6 people, lovely welcome hamper, would definitely stay again. They allowed us to leave one car in the car park while we went for breakfast the next morning, after checkout. Will be recommending to everyone thank you

First time we have used Stays York and it certainly will not be our last. Everything from booking to checkout was super easy and everyone we dealt with was really professional and helpful On arrival the lady on reception was extremely helpful, making check in very straightforward. The apartment was beautiful - we had one small hiccup with the one room being made up as a double instead of a twin but this was all sorted within a couple of hours - thank you A lovely touch with a super welcome hamper. All bedding, towels and furnishings to a high standard Great location for shopping and theatre We will 100% use again when we next visit York

We absolutely loved this apartment. The views of the river with the geese was so relaxing, it felt like we were in a country retreat , so peaceful. The flat was really central, we walked everywhere There are so many luxurious touches in the flat made it a joy to stay in...loved the mood lighting throughout. Cannot recommend this apartment highly enough...we will definitely return next year. Thank you staysyork for making our holiday so enjoyable xx

The Castle Suite is in an excellent position and everything you want to see in York is within easy walking distance as are the shops, pubs and restaurants. The Apartment is spacious, very comfortable, bright with a great view. The building is very secure and the off street parking spaces are a real bonus. The "Welcome" pack was a real treat with a lovely bottle of fizz. I have already booked to go back next year. A few very small gripes, the filter in the dishwasher was clogged up, clearer instructions on how to use the dishwasher and TV would be helpful and there is not much room for clothes storage in the smallest bedroom.

<strong>Excellent.</strong><br /> <br /> The location and room facilities are great. It is right in the old town of York, and you can experience different things at different times of the day when visiting important attractions. The master bedroom and the living and dining room offer unbeatable views: Clifford's Tower, the ancient city walls, and the church spires in the distance are all in sight. A stream flows downstairs, and occasionally swans play in the water. The room facilities are relatively new, practical, and of high quality, and the room layout is tasteful. Stays York communicated with us smoothly and responded quickly, especially the Welcome Box, which was very thoughtful and exquisite, making people feel at home immediately. I will definitely book again when I come to York next time.<br />

I had initially dismissed this accommodation because of the location. The area is not aesthetically appealing however the location is so very close to all tourist sights and offers free secure parking. The rooms are comfortable and practical and I felt good value for money. Nice beds , good water pressure in the showers, nice linen and beautifully clean.

A luxurious apartment, with views of the river and castle, that was also very comfortable, warm, clean and stylishly furnished. Clearing out the rubbish at the end of our stay couldn’t be easier- a modern chute on the same floor! The Christmas decorations were elegant and a lovely, thoughtful touch. It is very close to the city centre- less than 5 min walk to places such as Clifford Tower, Jorvik Museum, etc. We would very happily stay there again.

We had a great stay in the Castle suite. It’s just as described, beautifully furnished and great views and location. We could easily walk to all the major attractions and there were shops nearby for essential groceries. It was sunny while we were there, and the living room did get very warm in the day, even though we had turned the heating down. We just opened the windows, but we noticed there were 3 large fans in the cupboard, perfect if there was a heatwave. The shower rooms were lovely, but just short of some clothes hooks and a shelf for toiletries etc. StaysYork were very efficient and dealt with any queries quickly. We were travelling by train, so had luggage to look after before checking in, and after checking out. We did use Yorbag for this, and they were excellent, but an on-site storage facility at Ryedale house would have been perfect.

We were looking forward to our stay for the week in York. The accommodation in the Castle Suite exceeded our expectations and added greatly to our enjoyment of all the facilities and the location. We abandoned the cars in the spaces provided and walked all week as it was such a convenient location. The service before and after was really helpful and we had all the instructions we needed. We self catered to keep the costs for the family down and were able to do this with ease with all the facilities provided. It was not the cheapest accommodation available but still worth it for a week of luxury. We would come back again.

I can not compliment the team and Stays York or their Castle Suite apartment enough. This was truly a home away from home while we discovered the wonders of York and the surrounding area. The apartment was immaculate with just the perfect amount of space for my wife, 2 teenage daughters and me. The attention to detail by the Stays York team really shows from the decor and ambiance, down to the scents they have chosen. We will certainly be making a trip back and planning to stay at the Castle Suite again.

Booked the castle suite for my “50th” birthday through Stays York firstly I’d like to say what amazing customer service from start to finish the staff at Stays York where always on hand to help with any queries prior to arrival and dealt with a minor issue with the heating upon arrival very quickly and it was resolved in no time. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. On to the apartment itself “WOW” there was 6 adults plenty of space for us all, from the minute you walk in the door you feel a sense of luxury it is decorated to an exceptionally high standard, everything you could need for your stay is provided. The feeling of luxury throughout made it such an enjoyable place to stay we didn’t want to leave, You have 2 allocated parking spaces during your stay which was great and the location is spot on. Planning on coming back to York in the summer having being spoilt at The Castle Suite wouldn’t want book anywhere else highly recommended and would definitely book via Stays York again. Thankyou for helping my birthday celebrations feel so special.

A super apartment with high quality fixtures and fittings. Fantastic location very close to the centre of York. It was great to have the two secure parking spaces. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the lovely views across to Clifford Tower and the Minster. The beds were high quality and we appreciated all the goodies in the hamper. Castle Suite is a very stylish, comfortable and spacious apartment. It was in a perfect location - only a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants and maybe 10 minutes to the beautiful Minster. So much better than staying in a hotel... and better value! Particularly with the 2 secure parking spaces included in the price! I would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous apartment. The photos don't do it justice! It's very spacious and has a luxurious feel with great views from the amazing floor to ceiling windows. We loved having a glass of prosecco at the kitchen bar looking out over Clifford's Tower! Although it has a great central location it is very quiet which was a plus. And the 2 free private parking spaces were an absolute bonus for a city centre apartment. We will definitely return!

Great location in York city walking distance too main attractions. Apartments are in great condition with a high end feel. Comfortable beds and furniture. Only downside we felt was shortage of crockery and lack of mugs for tea and coffee, also the dining table looks great but really awkward too clean. Great touch with the welcome pack with food and drink essentials but feel it would be nice too get essential pack with shampoos and soaps etc. Just a few touches would make this a 5 star stay in a great location

My husband, son and I thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay in the Castle Suite.<br /> <br /> Communication and instructions were efficient and clear.<br /> <br /> The apartment which has beautiful views is in an excellent location only a short level walk from the centre of York. It is spacious, luxurious, tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable, fully equipped and very clean. There are two large parking spaces in a secure gated area and lift access to the apartment.<br /> <br /> Two local grocery stores with long opening hours are only 2 mins walk from the apartment and there are many restaurants within easy walking distance.<br /> <br /> We would not hesitate to return to this apartment on a future visit to York!

The perfect family getaway in York! The facilities at the apartment are fantastic, it’s beautifully decorated and is extremely comfortable and welcoming. My five year old cried when we had to leave and has made us promise to come back at Easter… sold!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. The decor was beautiful. We would definitely love to stay here again. I might suggest some drawers in the front bedroom but other than that we had a fantastic stay. Thank you!
