An amazing location and stylish interiors combine to offer a great stay in the city.

The elegant and quirky interior have been thoughtfully put together and make for a great base for business or leisure. There is a superb view over the River Ouse from the lounge making for the ultimate people watching spot from the chaise lounge. If river views aren't your thing then there's always the LCD TV and complimentary WiFi to keep you entertained. The lounge area also features a pull out sofa bed to accommodate the occasional extra guest.

The kitchen comes with everything you’d expect like a dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. It also benefits from a 2 seater breakfast bar style dining space.

The bedroom and bathroom are both stylishly presented. The bathroom has been newly tiled and features a shower over the bath.

The bedroom is tastefully presented and also has great river views. It also has the added benefit of a 'pop up' TV built into the bed for those lazy holiday mornings.

There is a digital parking permit with the property, which will allow you to park in any council run car park. The closest car parks are Nunnery Lane and Castle Car Park

Attractive apartment let down by the bathroom

The welcome hamper set a very positive tone for our visit. The living room, kitchen and bedroom were attractive and comfortable. The bathroom would benefit from a fittings makeover and resealing around the bath. The lighting cord was missing and the extractor fan didn’t work. Windows in the flat were tricky to open and close. Flat centrally located although the quayside area is very noisy at night (we were there Thursday to Monday.) up until the early hours of the morning. We closed windows to reduce noise which meant it was uncomfortably warm. Overall it’s a fairly decent flat but not good value for the reasons above.

City break to York

Stayed for 3 nights. Location is excellent, so central to all the sights and the train station. Lovely aspect looking over the river. It would have been nice to be able to open the bedroom window, it gets very warm in the apartment. Overall, would recommend this apartment to anyone for a central stay in York.

for one day , we didnot have hot water for one day no heating the management almost called me a liar about my complaints, though I called the emergency no. for immediate remedy, but no one turned up very unprofessional written answer given to me that they could not verify my complaints. never ever again any business with stay York

The system in this property is one that sometimes may require 'boosting' for the hot water to come back on instantenously as it can run out after being used sufficiently. A member of the team did attend the property the day after your call was made to the emergency number to check this and everything was working fine upon their arrival. They did explain also to you what most likely happened and how to 'boost' the system if for any reason the issue occured again. We take all guest reports seriously, and we regret that, in this instance, our response left you feeling dismissed. There were no chairs only 2 settees which were very low and deep most uncomfortable. The apartment was airless and windows did not open fully. The hanging in the lobby was high.

Lovely apartment. Interesting decor and filled with thoughtful touches throughout. Smart lighting is fun for those of us who don't have it at home. Right in the centre of town and good view out on to the river. Only negative points were that the bed is rather sinky in the middle - could perhaps do with replacing (though the frame with the TV coming out of the bottom is very exciting), and the bathroom could do with a smidge of maintenance in places. Overall, very pleased, would definitely stay again.

Good communication from booking company (Stays York). Great few days in this lovely apartment. Comfy bed and good shower pressure. Kitchen well equipped and lovely welcome pack. Sainsbury just on the corner for milk, etc and very close to restaurants & bars, so easy walking. We stayed in October so quiet most nights as no one outside late unlike summer evenings. Good view of river. We would stay again.

Only small issue was water from shower leaking down to floor from shower cover end towards taps.. could have done with a little more air in from windows as restricted to how much they open but we did use the fan provided as its was quiet warm the week we were there....Small issues really but wouldn't put us off from staying again as their was plenty positives overall...beautiful apartment in general....

Great location and view. Warm house but windows limited for fresh air. Great communication from company throughout. Apartment was very small and feels a little tired. Shower leaked quite badly each time used and could hear every floorboard creak from apartment above. Parking a bonus for York. Was very well stocked and welcome pack was lovely. Overall a nice apartment but only for very short stay.

Right on the river front (ideal for people watching lol) so the views were lovely. We had 30 degree weather our full stay so the fans in the bedroom at night were a god send. We weren’t able to access Netflix on the bedroom tv like it said we could but the tv in the living room worked fine

This was one of the best Airbnb apartments we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect. It is so well equipped, with everything you could possibly need. Very clean and stylish, we loved 'hey Google ' and the pop up tv. We had a wonderful four day stay and I would definitely return. Oh and the goody bag on arrival was fantastic. Thank you so much.

Beautiful apartment situated in an excellent location on the River Ouse, everything about the apartment was excellent, also has its own little garage where you can park your car as everything is so close by and walking distance definately will be booking again

Fantastic. Clean, beautifully decorated, cosy, nice view, good location, safe private parking, well equipped kitchen, google nest was fun (instructions for it were good), plenty of sockets and charging points, lovely welcome hamper, wonderful selection of games, comfy bed.

Lovely flat with great view interesting contents and very well equipped but please note these comments 1.The bedroom window needs attention. It is quite old, not easy to open and the top half will not stay in place even when opened by a small amount. The same goes for the lounge window. 2.Given the view it is a pity the dining top cannot be nearer to the window to enjoy the view. it is stuck into a corner of the kitchen which is quite dark even with the lights. The dining stools were not that comfortable for me. 3.The freezer door sticks against the next unit and does not open easily. 4.After a certain time in the evening things 'kick off' on the other side of the Quayside and there is much noise and shouting into the early hours which does travel across. This happened most nights. Given the age and condition of the existing windows I think that double glazing would help!

This is a great little flat in a relatively quiet part of York. Someone has gone to great effort to make it as comfortable as possible with excellent little touches we left some private feedback in the “oops” book which if implemented would make this place amazing. Just a word of caution regarding parking, we did not see at time of booking the risk of the private car park being flooded - thankfully it was not an issue however I would advise other guests who intend to use the private car park to check for flood warnings in the area before arrival.

We had a really nice stay in this apartment, spotlessly clean and location was great with the added bonus of a garage to park the car . We enjoyed sitting looking out of the window watching the river Ouse cruise boats going up and down and people watching at the bars opposite.Central location 5 minute walk to the centre , we would definitely stay again .

The facilities were very clean and comfortable. All the necessities, such as towels for both the kitchen and bathroom, were provided. I loved it that the host provided the amenities to go with the kitchen - a pack containing new sponge, cloth to wipe the surfaces, soap and detergent for washing up. The fridge was spotless clean. There was a brilliant welcome bag with goodies upon arrival, fantastic quality stuff to greet us in York! All the basic and indispensable things such as salt, sugar, a selection of tea, coffee and little milk packs were provided.

The view is fantastic. The building is just beside the river side, so you could see the river shining under the sunshine. Also, the kitchen is so big and well equipped. Would definitely want to stay here again if visit this city !
