The property has the added bonus of coming with permit parking for 1 car with the option to park additional cars in the paid for St. Georges Fields car park close by too.

On the ground floor of the property is the kitchen with all the amenities you’d expect in a property of this quality including a separate wine fridge. There is also a larger than average utility room complete with washer/dryer.

A small flight of stairs leads up to an open plan, mezzanine dining room complete with table and chairs to seat up to 8 for dinner.

A staircase then leads up to the lounge of the property with a luxurious ‘L’ shaped sofa, large LCD TV and 2 additional single chairs. The chairs have the added convenience of being able to convert to individual sofa beds if needed.

The main bathroom is stylishly presented complete with a shower over the bath and very modern fittings. The flexible bedroom completes the rooms on this floor of the property with the beds able to be set as either a king size bed or twin beds at your request.

On the top floor you will find 2 stunning bedrooms, one a double and the master featuring a king size bed with a very stylish shower ensuite.

After a hard days sightseeing in York you can relax with some of the great entertainment features the property offers such as high speed WiFi, Amazon Prime, Netflix and an Xbox One console for the gaming fans.

Our stay was during hot weather

Property larger than expected. Very clean & modern. Great quirky layout over 4 floors. Great to have so many fans as the property was hot. Hand wash was really lovely! Would definitely recommend. Overall almost everything was really great but these things would have improved our stay: An extra parking permit, even at an additional cost. It was a real hassle having to either keep moving the car or parking it elsewhere especially for people with mobility issues. Some rooms may not suit tall people with restricted height of the beams. Bin area isn’t easy to use with 3 different recycle bins inside an awkward shed. Getting in & out the property can take a while with all the different codes, keys, fobs & doors. Kitchen could have benefitted from extra things like lids for saucepans, colander, cheese grater, bread knife, pizza cutter, pasta bowls, an extra tea towel, etc More than 2 dishwasher tablets would’ve been good especially since we had to fill the dishwasher on the last day. Welcome pack was a bit underwhelming of a few teabags, coffee bags & 2 biscuits considering there were 6 of us. Extractor fan light on the hob didn’t work. No batteries in the console handsets so the kids were really disappointed. Memory foam mattress in main bedroom was unusual to sleep on. Inside fridge was smelly & hadn’t been cleaned. Microwave was small & was in the utility room which was a bit annoying to carry hot food around.

Great accommodation close to main centre of York

Great location for train station and getting into the main centre of York- easily walkable. Also liked the local surrounding area of Bishopthrope Road for meals and pub/bars. We ate at the Thai and Indian there which were great and the popular Angel on the Green was a lovely find at the top of the road! Clementhorpe Maltings was well kept, comfortable - beds gave a great night's sleep! The stairs became a bit of a pain over 3 floors, so be mindful if any mobility issues, but lovely house. Stays York Andrew was most helpful in accommodating our idea regarding storing bags until our train back. Booking easy and information, quick responses came from Stays York.

The property itself is clean, warm, and perfect for a group stay like ours. We did have some communication problems with Stays York and had our initial property cancelled on short notice but they did what they could to rectify. The property didn’t provide basics, though - enough coffee (property sleeps 8 with a minimum of 3 night stay, we got 4 tea bags and 2 coffees and 2 sugars). There was no shower gel in the bathrooms. I’d expect more from a stay like this.

Absolutely amazing property for a large group of people. Everything from the bedding to the plates to the decor was great, the location was amazing as well just close enough to be a cheap taxi away from centre but far enough to be quiet. Would absolutely stay here again. The support we got when we locked our keys inside on a Sunday was also amazing, instant support and help provided.

We really enjoyed our stay in this exceptional property which was handily located within walking distance of the railway station and the city centre. The property was clean and comfortable with lots of interesting features and everything we needed for a family including a pre-school child. The interesting multi-level layout and stairs kept us fit! A great base for a city break.

We booked this property as a group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved the layout of the house, modern feel and how comfortable the beds were! If we had to give some constructive feedback, I’d say: Location: although only 20 minutes from York centre, the location maps were somewhat confusing and all of our party were travelling seperarely but couldn’t find the property easily. It mentions a ‘blue’ door entrance but I’d say it’s been updated to a green/mint colour since these instructions. It made us doubt what house we were entering! Comfort: overall the comfort of the beds was fantastic but the heat made it uncomfortable. We opened up windows at every opportunity but felt that sometimes wasn’t enough. We followed the instructions on the booklet in regards to temperature but couldn’t cool the house down! The fan in the living room saved us from melting. Keys: We had 1 set for each door so ideally 2 sets would’ve made it easier for plans/ people to freely stay out longer/return sooner without any worries. No biggy but would just have made it easier for larger groups Overall, we had a wonderful stay! The property is gorgeous with fabulous interior and a great place for a party of 6-8!

The house is beautiful -- all the beds were comfy and everything was in spit-spot condition. We were worried that the dining room/loft might be cramped for our party of 8, but it was just fine -- we enjoyed all our meals and many hours of playing board games there in the evenings as well. Be aware the many stairs are (as advertised) narrow and fairly steep, so you won't want to be running up and down them all day long. Also, it took us a while to find the hook to open up the skylights in the top floor bedrooms, which made the first night rather hot and stuff but once we did locate it, it cooled the whole house considerably. (A note about this in the otherwise comprehensive guest handbook would be helpful!) The neighborhood is quiet and charming; our party (which included three children) never felt unsafe even when walking home after dark. We'd also like to commend the local high street shops - - the butcher, green grocer and baker were the best we encountered during our four weeks in England. The only negative comment we have is that the washing machine had obviously been used by a previous but then left closed and not properly cleaned out/aired because there was a mold/mildew growing inside the door seal.

We cannot find fault with One Clementhorpe Maltings! It was brill! We had excellent communication from Stays York from the initial booking to the text confirming the accommodation was ready to check in. The home itself was fantastic, very well decorated and very clean. It felt like home from home! It's also has a quirky feeling with the old columns, back stairs and chambers near the front door. Location was excellent, especially for the Saturday bacon buttie run on Bishy Road!

We had a fabulous stay in the house. Everything was very clean and well equipped. There was plenty of room in the bedrooms and dining area. Great location for getting around York too.

This is a querky conversion of an old maltings, set out on four floors, so lots of stairs. However all the rooms were spacious and clean and nicely decorated. We walked every where, but the local shops, cafes and pubs were good too and are only a minute away. The street was very quiet, not a sound of traffic! Just make sure you get the full, rather complicated entry instructions.some how ours went missing, but the office quickly sorted it.

It was a brilliant location, clean, beautifully decorated, the communication from Stays was fantastic. Fabulous apartment in central location. Only short walk to York city centre. Apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staff at Stays York were easily contactable and helpful. A lot of stairs to go up and down to keep you fit! Loved our weekend here.

We stayed for 5 days in this lovely high standard of accommodation it is just as the photos and was very clean ,we as a family loved sitting around the dining table in the evening .All the instructions we received were very good and managed to park our car nearby . The only gripe I have is minimal toilet rolls. no hand wash/shower gel, only 2 dishwasher tablets I feel that to have to go out and buy these basic items is a pain and considering the high standards of the accommodation I think they should have been made available . Also would have been a great treat to have a starter pack with basic groceries as supplied in some Airbnb . Overall we loved our stay and York was amazing I can highly recommend.

One clemonthorpe is a lovely modern property. Very spacious and the location to the city centre is excellent. The house is very warm (with no heating) and the numerous flights of stairs keep you fit! There were a couple of issues with the property but they were sorted quickly. Be aware there is a £30 charge if you need any additional bed sheets etc so arrange what you need prior to arrival. Recommended places to eat are the pig & pastry cafe round the corner (get there early!) and phranakhon thai tapas in town.

A stunning house we would love to go back to. Stayed in June (4 adults, 4 children). The house is over 4 levels so lots of stairs but not a problem for us. The decor was fresh and beautiful.

Perfect for Christmas. Great location - quiet and an easy 10 minute walk from the city centre. 3 good sized bedrooms and a nice family bathroom and an ensuite. Clean and well equipped and decorated in a lovely contemporary style. Handy utility room. Plenty of space for 6 people to spend time together or apart. Lots of choice on Deliveroo and a 10 minute walk to the Everyman cinema.
