Northern Flowerhouse sits just a 10 minute walk from the city centre and has the benefit of on street, permit parking.

The River Ouse is situated just a 5 minute walk away along with the city walls. There's also a plethora of Supermarket options within 5 to 10 minutes of the property such as Waitrose, Aldi and Sainsbury's Local. Conveniently for families there's also a children's play gound just a minute way.

The property itself has been nicely furnished throughout. Upon accessing the property you'll find the light and airy lounge on the ground floor with comfortable seating and Smart TV. Please note theat the fire is just decorative only and not in use.

The very spacious dining room can seat 4 for dinner. It leads through to the kitchen that houses amenities such as a fridge, freezer, oven electric hob and a washing machine. From here you can access the rear outdoor area with a small, pretty garden and a bistro table with seating for 4.

The upstairs of the property features the large house bathroom complete with a bath with overhead shower.

The master bedroom is very spacious and features a king size bed plus wardrobe. The second bedroom has the benefit of offering a super king or twin bed option.

The property can also accept 1 well behaved dog although they must not be allowed on the furniture or left alone in the property.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The propert is close to the city centre and has everything you need for a short stay. It was super clean and parking is right outside.

Very well positioned for city and Barbican centre. Nice courtyard for sitting out in good weather. Walking distance for river and foodshop, cafes and pubs.

Het huis is ruim en mooi ingericht, maar ligt aan een drukke straat, daarom is er veel lawaai in de slaapkamer aan de voorkant. De keuken is goed voorzien, maar bevat een te klein afdruiprek voor het servies van 4 personen. Er is 1 wc in het huis en deze bevindt zich in de badkamer, dat is onhandig in de ochtend als anderen ook in de badkamer willen. Ik vind de huurprijs te hoog voor het comfort wat je krijgt.

We found the house cosy and comfortable for our three night stay in York. Everything we needed for a family of four. Nice furnishings and lovely view from the front bedroom. A few things could be fixed like the taps in the bathroom sink that need tightening and the side table drawers in the front bedroom that do not stay closed. The stairs took some getting used to but would consider staying here again in future.

Great comfortable and clean house in an excellent location. Comfy beds with good quality linen. Easy to walk into the city, situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood opposite the cemetery. (The road at the front is relatively busy and some road noise is to be expected - this would not stop us booking again though). Nice little back yard for sitting out and perfect for our dog. We love York and this is a good value home from home to stay in. We had a lovely week and would definitely book this property again. **Try the Shi Shang Chinese restaurant a few minutes walk away , and also The Phoenix pub

Small townhouse on quite a busy street, minimalist set up which could do with some brush up. Having said that, we did enjoy our stay on the whole, and the weekly service was good.

We stayed over Christmas and overall enjoyed it. Instructions were very clear on arrival. Toilet seat was hanging off though - i notified StaysYork and was disappointed that the previous person staying had noted this in a review but hadn't been fixed before we arrived. House is comfortable - and dishwasher would have been a useful addition. Overall good but quite expensive for what it is.

Excellent house, well equipped and spacious. Lovely bedrooms with very comfy beds. So happy to find a house with a superking bed. Great communication. Brilliant parking right at the front of the house. Just a shame there isn’t a downstairs WC.

This is a great guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood, within easy walking distance from the city centre. It’s a perfect size for couples or a family, and has the advantage of a separate living room downstairs and an upstairs bathroom. It’s an old Victorian property, which has been well maintained and decorated. There’s a fully fitted kitchen, smart TV and WiFi, and this property has the advantage of free on street parking - which is hard to find this close to the city centre. It’s a 15 minute walk to the city centre, and 5 minutes down to the river. Theres a lovely coffee shop round the corner and a children’s playground nearby. The area is generally quiet (its opposite a cemetery, but it is on a road, so there is some traffic noise at the front of the house, but this is only noticeable when the windows are open. The stairs are steep and narrow, and at the top the height of the stairs is uneven, so this property isn’t suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Overall a great property for a very good price.

This house has lovely comfortable sofas and beds. The kitchen has fairly good equipment but no dishwasher. Good hardwood floors downstairs and (dated) carpet on stairs and in master bedroom. Good water pressure and nice size bathroom with over bath shower. Little garden with room to sit out.

Great house with plenty of room. Ten minute walk into town and half an hour to the racecourse, via the river. Perfect for us. No problem finding a parking spot and a lovely welcome pack.

A well proportioned bow windowed Victorian terrace house situated opposite the beautiful York cemetery, although in the centre of the city it was filled with the sound of birdsong and had lovely leafy views. A trot across the road for a wander in the cemetery is a must ( be warned you can easily loose yourself in there for a couple of hours!) The house was exceptionally clean , the beds generous and comfy, the kitchen well equipped for a short stay. An added bonus was the quiet courtyard garden - a sunny spot to enjoy lunch with a glass of wine. The house is situated around ten minutes from the the river and also from the city walls.

Accessibility issues that need flagging when the property is advertised

The property is beautifully decorated with every nearly detail considered. The beds are particularly great and the car parking is easy. However, Northern Flowerhouse is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and this really needs to be flagged up in the description on the website. The stairs are more vertiginous and the treads narrower than your typical terrace and the shower is over a very high bath with no rail to hold. For anyone with a bad back or balance issues it will be too difficult to manage. One of us, for instance, fell the first time trying to use the shower and navigating the stairs was a slow business every time. I think the place would be pretty great for younger people without children but a health warning would target your market better.

Great 2br cottage close to town with all the facilities you need. Easy street parking with (provided) permit, well equipped kitchen and large bedrooms. Bed comfy and plenty of space. If you are mobility restricted, be mindful the stairs are a bit steep and narrow to the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. You can walk to the walled town ~15mins or drive and park at the many parking areas, but expect to be charged a bit. If you are looking for a large cottage close to town that accepts pets, the this place is a great find.

A really well appointed house with plenty of space throughout. The weather was poor for us but the little outdoor area with table and chairs looked lovely. The location is perfect for walking into the city. The road is reasonably busy in the day time but we were not disturbed at all. We highly recommend this house and Stays.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house which was clean, comfortable and well furnished, with all the facilities we needed. It's a great location to walk quickly into the town centre or enjoy the river walks. We appreciated all the communication contact before and during our visit which helped us to relax and enjoy our visit. Would certainly visit again.
