This place is absolutely beautiful. It was my second time staying there because it is such a great place to stay. Perfect location and very spacious.

So close to perfection

We absolutely loved this property, the space and the location. So little to find wrong with it on that front. The only thing that could be improved upon is the cleanliness - and maintenance of small things like the cutlery draw. Although not massively dirty, we felt a bit more care and attention to deep cleaning of the carpets, ensuring crockery had been washed in the dishwasher and perhaps keeping on top of the mould build up in the bathrooms would have made this place perfect. All in all though, it was a beautiful and amazing place to stay and we hope on our next visit to York we are lucky enough to be able to stay here again..:availability allowing. Thank you Stay York for the best place we have found to stay in York.

Super central and Historic Apartment but run down

The property was very convenient and the bedrooms were quiet because it was situated at the back of the apartment. However the apartment was run down and not maintained. The first entry in the guestbook was 2018, so I suppose it is an old apartment. It was clean for everyday use (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen etc) However, upon closer inspection you can see it's run down. For example we discovered a container with mold in the kitchen, the common toilet door could not lock and the pillows are lumpy. The drying rack was also spoilt, but the owner replaced in within a few hours which we appreciated. So honestly it depends on your expectation of cleanliness. To other customers I'm sure this property is clean and suitable but just run down.
