A beautifully designed two-bedroom property, thoughtfully finished with great attention to detail to create a warm and inviting home-from-home experience.
The house has its own private entrance on Smales Street, just a short 5 minute walk from the heart of the city centre and train station. Also just a short walk to the popular Bishopthorpe Road (Bishy Road) area with its independent bars, restaurants and shops.
Upon entering there is a cosy sitting room complete with electric fire, TV and a sofa bed. Walking through here leads into the main living area where you will find an open plan lounge, dining area and contemporary kitchen.
The lounge features a wall mounted LCD Smart TV. There's dining seating to accommodate 4 for dinner too.
The kitchen is very stylish and features a breakfast bar to seat 2, dishwasher and washer dryer together with quartz worktops. There's also an Amazon Alexa device for your convenience.
At the rear of the kitchen is the house bathroom complete with walk in shower. There's also a lovely outdoor patio at the rear of the patio with Indian stone paving and outdoor seating for 4. Spare seating can also be found in the cupboard under the stairs for use at the dining table or on the patio.
Moving upstairs there are both bedrooms. The master has a super king bed. The second bedroom is a king size bed. Both bedrooms have wall mounted Smart TV's and dressing tables.
Although there is no parking with the property, there is a local car park very close by. Please enquire for details.

Central but quiet
Excellent accommodation less than 10 min walk to the city centre. For such a central property the street was quiet. The property was beautifully decorated and the beds lovely and comfortable. We took our small dog who felt right at home. Would highly recommend and will be back. Only downside is no parking outside but this didnt bother us as we came by train and again train station was 10 min walk away.
Loved staying, but be aware of the parking.
We had a fabulous 4 night stay at Maggies place and it really felt like home from home. Great decor, fab kitchen with all necessary utensils and pans and things you need! Plenty of everything. Sofa bed in lounge was really comfy as well as bedroom beds. Warm and cosy and loved the opportunity for a second lounge area so our fifth guest could have their own bedroom in the front room. Everything was great, except the parking! It is clear on the description that there is no parking but if you cpuld now update your rice's that would be helpful. 24 hours in the nearby carpark is no longer £16 but is actually £25 at peak times and £22 the rest of the week! The out of town park and ride doesn't allow overnight parking we found out. So you really are held to ransom having to pay, if you need to park. For 5 days this considerably added to our cost. :-( But apart from this, otherwise, we loved the house! And customer service via email was quick, efficient and super helpful. Thanks x
Location location location
We really enjoyed our short stay in Maggie's Place. It was the perfect location for exploring all that York has to offer and the house itself is v well equipped and ideal for our group of five. We loved that we could bring our cavapoo with us and my daughter had a brilliant birthday there. Thank you!
