This lovingly restored house is located in Lower Priory Street, near to Micklegate Bar, and faces due south across to the Medieval Walls. Whilst very close to all the action in the city centre, the location here is very quiet, with no through traffic. It’s perfect whether you’re arriving by car or train, with free permit parking right outside, and the railway station only a short walk away. The property is also only a 20 minute walk from York Race Course.

Deriving from the Latin word for holiday, Feria Place makes for a perfect modern-day break in this ancient city. Following its complete renovation in 2019, the house successfully blends its traditional character with modern and contemporary finishes.

The ground floor features a generous open-plan living room and dining area with two original fireplaces. It includes a bespoke high dining table seating up to 6, along with stylish living room furniture. The room leads on to a fully equipped contemporary kitchen complete with breakfast bar. Beyond is a utility/cloakroom with wc.

Doors from the kitchen and dining area lead out to a completely private courtyard at the back of the house.
Upstairs the spacious master bedroom, complete with King size bed, has a wonderful outlook to the city walls. The smaller second bedroom is also attractively finished, and has a double bed. The shower room is beautifully appointed, with a large walk-in shower, granite-topped vanity unit, and a heated floor.

Children over 6 years old are very welcome.

“A wonderful place to stay in York - we had a great weekend staying here! Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location was ideal, we were able to park the car outside and then walk everywhere we wanted to go in York from there. Everything ran so smoothly it made the weekend feel like a proper break!”

“We had a wonderful stay at this chic, clean, quiet house. It was a great location and after a busy day sightseeing coming back to this quiet house was just what we needed. The best breakfast cafes around the corner. Thoughtful complimentary goodies and convenient parking just outside the property. Highly recommend!”
