Recently renovated, The Coach House is a charming 1 bedroom house just outside the city centre, tucked away it provides lots of privacy and the added benefit of allocated parking. Downstairs there's an open plan living dining room, with big comfy sofa and bay window for lots of natural daylight. The new kitchen has a washer dryer & dishwasher and is fully equipped with all you could need for a stay. The fully tiled modern bathroom with walk in shower is also on the ground floor. Upstairs there's a lovely bright bedroom with windows in the eaves and a large walk in wardrobe- so however long your stay there's enough room for everything!

“Great cottage very close to York old town. Check-in is easy via a lock box. The house has everything you need - internet, washing machine, stove, oven, utensils, coffee and basics, tv, desk. Communication was great. Fantastic experience and easy to recommend.”

Quirky little house in a good location

This a beautiful little coach house tastefully renovated and decorated. The kitchen is well designed with plenty of dishes and utensils. There is a vast amount of storage upstairs and the shower, which is downstairs is powerful. It's just an easy 10 minute stroll to the city walls and on to the river, shops and Minster. We phoned the owners a couple of times with queries and found them to be very pleasant and helpful. There's a useful manual in the house with plenty of local information. There is a parking space in the drive, which is a big bonus in a city where there is no free parking. If we were to come back to York, we would have no hesitation in booking this property again.

Staying for two months

I had a long stay in this house. Almost two months, so finally I felt at home. The house is perfect for 2 people. Also has plenty go natural daylight. The location is so good that a car is not necessary to visit York city center. Also there are 2 Sainsbury very near. One in Bishopthorpe and the other one in Blossom Street. The kitchen has almost everything. I just missed a squeezer. I am 162 cms tall, not a tall woman, but I hit my head many times in the bedroom the first week. And Stays York is a very reliable company. They were always willing to solve some details. Things that could be improved: The gate of the car park is very narrow, but it is possible to park if you are a skillful driver. The shed makes the maneuver more difficult. I would change the place of the shed, so it would be possible to park easily. The mattress is not a quality mattress. It is foam one. There is not dryer machine. The washing machine is only washing machine. But finally it is a lovely place. I would book it again. Thanks to Stays York
