Excellent for City Centre and local amenities

We had a very nice two week stay at the apartment. Although it was not our original booking it turned out very nice. The layout of the accommodation was good. Access to the first floor was via a very convenient lift which was handy as the original apartment booked was on the ground floor so we were a little worried. The facilities in the apartment were sufficient for a two week stay. The added bonus of a washing machine, was welcome although we did only use it once halfway through our stay. The only criticisms were mainly based on the fact that we are not in the first flush of youth and we found the shower tray to be almost lethal (very slippery) so we used one of the hand towels to stand on. We did bring this to the attention of Stays York and they very quickly responded by supplying us with a bath mat so we cannot fault them at all. The other criticism is the breakfast bar and the two very high stools, warranted a course on extreme mountaineering before attempting to use. Seriously though we could not climb up onto the stools and as we do like to eat at a table our solution came in the guise of the ironing board that we found in the cloakroom. We covered the top in plastic sheeting and then placed two place mats on top. We were then able to sit reasonably comfortably using the two little arm chairs supplied. We think that if the breakfast bar were removed there would still be room for a little table and two dining chairs. We appreciate that the majority of customers only stay for a short time and possibly and are of the younger, fitter generation and would not find this a problem. Access to public transport was excellent as these were only a short walk away. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Very lovely place, mostly as advertised and thoroughly enjoyed. There was an unsightly divan replacing the lovely bed frame seen in photos and as mentioned by other reviewers is not attached to the headboard. The mattress with springs poking out is the same, but they were to one side and didn’t really bother me that much, it wasn’t the best, but otherwise reasonably comfortable. On the bright side the lumpy pillows were changed very swiftly. A pot was broken on my arrival but was asked to pay for it despite the damage waiver I paid. We agreed it was not my fault, but still confused by the request even if it would have been my fault. Altogether a nice stay and would recommend with the mentions above.

Great flat for a short stay in York great location Had problems finding the flat but the stays York staff were very helpful when I called for help great team Pillows were lumpy when brought to there attention was replaced immediately The mattress needs replaced springs sticking out not comfortable Would like hooks in bathroom and the shower needs a mat Supermarket at the end of the street very handy for provisions Was disappointed with welcome pack not as good as I have had in other accommodations in York

Great immaculate apartment , had everything you need in it.Maybe a couple of additions to the bathroom eg: non slip mat in shower and a couple of hooks on back of the door.We had a lovely time in York and had arrived early however we received a txt to say the apartment was ready early which was great! Such a clean comfy stay !

The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. York Stays were very helpful & contacted the housekeeping team to allow us to drop our bags at the apartment before check in time. Much appreciated. The apartment was perfectly cleaned & beautifully presented for us. The bed is comfortable; kitchen very well equipped; shower room is spacious; & the property is secure. The best thing is being a 5 minute walk from the centre of York but the apartment is quiet & peaceful. There was no noise from traffic or neighbours & we slept with the balcony window open every night. It is a 10 minute walk from the rail station or there is car parking opposite the apartment (£13 per day). One of the best accommodations we have experienced in York.

This apartment is absolutely perfect for visiting York. The location is amazing! Just a few minutes walk into town and the train station is even within walking distance. The apartment has everything you need and is very comfortable. Even has a washing machine which was handy. The only small complaint we had was it could have been a bit cleaner with regards to the floors/dust. And the bed is not attached to the headboard so it moves when you sit on it. But overall, excellent stay and we would return again!

We really enjoyed our stay very quiet got a good night sleep. Very close to al the amenities as well. Only thing was when we leaned on the bed it moved across the floor the bed was not attached to the headboard.short stay

The apartment was in an excellent location in a modern building. It was clean and bright and I chose this particular apartment as I liked the interior. I had a good stay and felt I had chosen well and enjoyed my stay. However the bed moved around and I found out that it had not been attached to the headboard. It appeared that the cleaners had cleaned around it but not put it back correctly and the bed was the other way around. This could have been a safety hazard for somebody who had a bad back or other physical condition and marred the stay to be honest. Also in the Covid environment there was no hand gel and no antibacterial spray to clean the surfaces. There were no paper towels. I would have expected this in this current environment. There were minimal knives forks cups etc.The apartment was warm and cosy at times too hot but I could open the window to cool it down.

We loved staying here, it was very comfortable and perfect location. We mentioned we were vegan and they very kindly provided oat milk and some outstanding vegan chocolate for us. We would stay here again if it was better value for money but it was very expensive.

Fabulous break. Look forward to returning to York in the future. The location was amazing. Close to all attractions. The apartment was well appointed. Clean and very welcoming. Even down to a little hamper when we arrived.
