A fantastic 3 bedroom property that is stylishly presented throughout and offers a great space for any break in the city.

Set in the shadows of York Minster and just a few minutes walk to the heart of the city centre. The ground floor of the property has a very spacious open plan lounge and dining area with comfortable seating, wall mounted LCD Smart TV and a dining table to seat 6 for dinner.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you'd expect to find in a property of this standard including a gas hob. Just off the kitchen is a utility area complete with microwave and separate washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an attractive, enclosed patio at the rear of the property with outdoor seating that's perfect for enjoying a drink in the warmer times of the year.

In the entrance hallway of the property there is a small wc. Moving up to the first floor, there are two of the bedrooms. The first of which features a king size bed and wardrobe. The second bedroom is next door and features another king size bed, drawers and fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is also on this floor and has a bath along with a separate shower.

On the top floor there is a twin room in the attic complete with drawer unit, wardrobe and TV.

Permit parking for one car is included.

Perfect location for exploring York

We spent a short break in York and really enjoyed our stay. The house was ideal, two comfy first floor double/king bedrooms and a twin room in the eaves on the second floor. All very comfortable. We appreciated the cleaning pack left with two dishwasher tablets and two washing capsules. The long life milk packs were left for the next people though! Everything worked well and we were very happy. Only minor grumbles, the sash window in the front bedroom isn’t functioning which in this heat was an issue and the cold tap in the bathroom is leaking. We were surprised that there didn’t seem to be any recycling of plastic, cardboard or cans. The parking permit for one car was a godsend as parking in York is very expensive. We went to a few local restaurants, Caesar’s Italian was lovely as was the Bengal Brasserie. We had breakfast in Betty’s and lunch in the Shambles market. The Minster was beautiful. I imagine it’s maintenance is like the Forth bridge, once one bit is completed, another starts. We could hear the daytime bells from house, wonderful.

The house was ideally situated in a quiet road outside the city walls, a few minutes from York Minster and the city centre. The house was bright and had everything we needed for our stay in York

This is a lovely house that sleeps 6 adults in 3 lovely bedrooms and comfortable beds. However there is only one bathroom and one downstairs toilet which is not ideal. The house is well furnished and well presented. The location is excellent and the entry key pad is very useful.

Location very good, parking no problem, all very clean and well equipped. One downside is minimal working space in the kitchen. Small private seating area outside at rear of property, with access from kitchen. Just the one bathroom may be a problem for some if full occupancy of six.

Pleasant stay in comfort. Just a stones throw from city centre. The house was clean and tidy and all amenities worked as they should. Absoloutely no hitches, a smooth and comfortable weekend was had by all.

Good house for lots of people and fantastic location! Great outdoor space. Oven instructions not working on QR code although was emailed to me. Some basic things missing eg spare rubbish bags, extra loo roll, tin opener not work, hot tap dripping in bathroom (needs a washer).

Fantastic location, walkable to York attractions. Large enough to accommodate our group of 7 (including a baby). Elegant interior and good layout. Was very clean and beds were comfy.

The house is in a brilliant location, being an easy few minutes walk into York whilst in a quiet street. Parking was good - we managed to park almost outside the door throughout our 4 night stay. The house is warm and very comfortable; sitting area works well though might be cosy for 6 people and dining area offered good space to sit together around the table. This could be a really great house; unfortunately the kitchen and bathroom do let it down. The kitchen is adequately equipped but if you like to cook proper meals it is difficult; the only chopping board is a piece of granite which was grubby and smelt awful where it had been left damp underneath. Some nicer crockery with decent sized mugs would have made a difference and just 2 dishwasher tabs for 4 nights was disappointing. We have never stayed at a self catered house where there has been nothing else provided; no cling film or foil and no spare waste bin liners just seems a little ungenerous. The bathroom was tired and could do with some updating - we had to oil the door hinges as closing the door on the first night woke the whole house! Whilst the hot water from the taps was lovely and hot, the shower was barely warm, not sure why. If the bedroom curtains could be shorter the rooms would be much warmer; as they are, when closed they cover the radiators so the heat can’t get into the room. This is a beautiful warm and comfortable house and for a visit to York it couldn’t be placed better. A few changes would make it a really superb holiday home- if you plan to eat out the kitchen works fine.

Needs a good deep clean and bathroom updating.Kitchen and bathroom sinks dirty,the bathroom one,the plug was full of hair and water draining away slowly also one of the toilets hadn't been flushed.Patio furniture is different to that shown online,it's way too big for the decking so that 5 people can't sit around it and the decking is really dirty. There is only the tiniest bit of work bench space in the kitchen so nowhere to prepare food.The kettle is positioned on draining board which gets very wet when washing dishes,surely a health and safety issue.No oven gloves provided and tea towel was thick with grease and smelled rancid.Lots of crumbs under sofa seat cushions.Grouting in shower dirty and no shelf or cabinet in bathroom so nowhere to put any toiletries.Lack of sockets, 2 lamps in 2nd bedroom but only a single socket to plug one in and not by bedside.Dining room blind only covers half of the window and landing blind fell down when trying to open it,there is also damp patches on landing wall.Positives are, the house is in a good location and the bed linen is good quality. I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it..We've stayed in a lot of properties in York far cheaper and nicer.

We stayed in Stay's home in York and 100% loved our stay and 100% recommend it to anyone. We were about a 5 min walk to one of the old city gates, which was extremely convenient. The home was beautifully decorated inside, very clean and warming. It felt like we were staying at a friends. We were 4 adults and felt that we had plenty of space as well. Our only regret is that we did not come to York in better weather because the outside terrace, which connects to the kitchen, would have been lovely to enjoy our meals from. 🙂

The property was ideal for a group of friends attending a reunion at York St John's. The layout worked perfectly for us, with the downstairs toilet being a bonus. (One of the party has mobility issues). Tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, we had a comfortable three night stay. The beds were excellent. It is an easy walk into town or to other amenities. There is parking outside, or in a nearby car park which was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Couldn't have been happier with the house. The location was perfect, we could walk to everything we wanted to do. The host was responsive and everything we needed inside the house was there. Just based on the accommodations, this was the best air bnb we've stayed with yet. And we thoroughly enjoyed York.

Location, within 10min walk of shops and all the main attractions in York. A very beautiful home, very well equipped, clean, comfy beds, we enjoyed the patio space too. We had a very pleasant stay and look forward to revisiting.

The house was perfect for a long weekend in York. Once we arrived we parked immediately outside and didn't need to get back in the car until it was time to leave. Everything was very clean and the house was well equipped, instructions were clear and the location was brilliant for the city centre and all that York has to offer. The welcome pack was lovely and we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely comfortable place to stay, within a short walking distance of the amenities of the centre of York. We stayed in early September with the area being quiet at that time. Stays York team were excellent and prompt in dealing with my queries; operating the gas oven and the downside (in my opinion) that the televisions are not aerial connected thus set up for streaming services only.

Great house, very close to the main attractions in York which was a beautiful city. Very spacious - the outdoor area is great for summer and turns the kitchen into a lovely space. The attic room might not be ideal for very young children as they need to go down stairs for the loo and they’re right outside the door - my 7 and 11 year olds were fine but two or three years ago it may have been a worry. But otherwise I can’t recommend it enough.

Book this stay in York. A lovely townhome, very comfortable beds and pillows. Luxuriously decorated. Loved all of the touches of artwork and quality blackout drapes. Washer and dryer were a game changer for us as we are a family of four who travels relatively light and opt to do frequent laundry. Probably not ideal for multiple families as there is only one full bathroom but an extremely comfortable stay for two adults and two children. The patio is a wonderful area to have morning coffee.<br /> <br /> Located within walking distance to all York attractions while also being quiet and residential. We stay at a lot of AirBnBs and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Central to all activities and only a 20 minute walk to/from the train station. There wasn’t as many condiments as we would have liked (no oil, salt & pepper, tea/coffee) so had to purchase this ourselves - which was fine but annoying to lug home! The house was beautiful, so cosy in the evenings - particularly the dining and living room area. Located on a lovely little street and accessible to all tourist spots in York. Would highly recommend!

Really lovely flat with excellent outdoor space, large and comfy rooms and very simple access. Flora was also very quick to respond and allowed us to extend our stay by a day when we got stuck in York due to the heatwave!
