This 3 bedroom property makes for a great family getaway in York.

Located just a couple of minutes' walking distance from the iconic York Minster and all that you could wish to see and do in York. The property also benefits from an on street parking permit for 1 car.

The ground floor of the property has a lounge with a traditional feel complete with hard wood flooring, LCD TV and wood burning stove, perfect for cosy nights in. There's also a separate dining room that seats 6 for dinner. Just off the the dining room you'll find the kitchen which has a nice light and airy feel. There's some lovely touches to be found here including the large range cooker, granite work surfaces and retro style fridge. There's a conservatory area at the rear of the kitchen with comfortable seating and access to the private patio at the rear of the property.

Moving up to the first floor of the property there is the main bathroom. A very spacious area complete with roll top bath and separate walk in shower. Two of the three bedrooms also sit on this floor. The first of which is the large master bedroom that comes with a king size bed and large built in wardrobe. The second bedroom is next door and features twin beds.

On the top floor there is another twin room in the attic that has the added benefit of a shower ensuite.

Fantastic accommodation in a brilliant location to explore York

Good for city centre

Verified Up Front Reviews
The house is well located for a city break, 5mins zigzagging through some back lanes and you’re within the inner city walls via monk gate. Procedures are swift and self explanatory. The property itself has seen many generations of guests which is mainly felt in the bed and reception rooms. Kitchen and bath are best for cleanliness. The cleaners know their job. There is a black throw on the double bed that might need to be exchanged or properly cleaned as it does not smell good anymore. Upon arrival the house was cold which was not very welcoming, it needed a whole evening to get warmer and being a frosty night the atmosphere didn’t feel nice. Maybe someone should check on day of arrival if the default 10C the heating is set on are enough.

Stays York Replied:

Thanks for the review and great to hear you enjoyed your time in York. Sorry to hear you found the property a little chilly on arrival. We do set the heating to a comfortable temperature before guests arrive so not sure what's happened there. We'll certainly have all the settings double checked

Home from home. Beautiful period features yet all mod cons. Beautifully appointed and attention to detail in all the rooms. Stunning bathroom and 2nd en-suite shower that my teenage daughter loved; parking included and a stone’s throw from city centre. The welcome box was also a very thoughtful touch and we also appreciated the restaurant recommendations and the literature that was left for us to read
