Property was in a great location and only 7-8 minutes walk into town. Great to have a parking space included and also property was dog friendly. Kitchen was well equipped but we only had breakfast there and didnt do any cooking. Bed was very comfy and we slept very well. We had a problem with the shower not draining water from the tray but Stays York sorted. WiFi was not working the whole of our stay and TV was either on for short intermittent times or not working at all! A dongle was supplied instead of a working router but it couldn't cope with the data. Stays York were really helpful trying to sort for our stay but couldnt get things working properly. All in all a lovely little property but just a couple of issues let it down this time.
Short break
The property was very clean overall and presented well. The kitchen was compact and well kitted out for those who prefer to home-cook. The bedding was spotlessly clean and fresh. Sadly, the lounge window had not been cleaned for months as there were large clusters spiders webs on the sash window. It was a shame the window could not be opened because it did get very hot when the sun came around in the afternoon and air flow seemed quite restricted in the lounge and kitchen. York Stays were excellent with their general information, help and customer service, thank you. The sofa was not particularly comfortable to sit on. The bed was quite soft and may not suit you if you like a firmer surface like me. However, saying that a good nights sleep was obtained for the duration of our stay. The overall condition of the property was in good working order and was a lovely place to stay. It was quiet with a few local people going by from time to time. There was lots of hot water and a good bathroom with what seemed like a new shower. The Internet was not good and did not work for the majority of our stay which also restricted the use of the TV. The location of the property was within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the City. The City Wall Walk is just across the road as well. There is a local shop within an 5 to 8 minute walk that is well stocked in all the essentials. A great stay overall.
Great few days in York
We loved our small but perfectly formed apartment, just 10 mins from the centre of York and a couple of minutes from lovely riverside walks with our dog in a lovely secluded safe feeling area. The apartment and bedding were clean and spotless, well equipped, only things which would have improved our stay would have been a more comfortable sofa bed and a draining rack for plates etc in the kitchen- we were constantly worried about things sliding off and breaking. Other than that it was the perfect base for a short stay - best suited for a couple id say.
