Located just a 5 minute stroll from York Station and 10 minutes to the centre of the city or the racecourse is this beautiful Grade II listed Georgian townhouse with off street parking and charging point.

Careful thought has gone into every detail of this fabulous holiday home and the comfort and enjoyment of the guest has been looked after in every aspect of the design.

From the master bedroom on the top floor with a king-size wrought iron bed, bedside lamps that incorporate wireless chargers and an en suite shower room, your restful nights sleep has been assured.

Two further beautiful bedrooms on the first floor (one with a super-king bed and one with a double bed),coupled with a luxurious bathroom, ideal for a relax after a busy day sightseeing in the stunning City of York, ensure everyone is thought of.

On the ground floor you have a fantastic lounge complimented by the most sumptuous of dining rooms. The artwork is fabulous and the authentic 1960's cocktail bar provide the perfect back drop for a night in, enjoying a meal cooked in the beautifully equipped kitchen or even a treat from the adjacent "Prickly Pear" café and delicatessen.

Outside entertaining is made perfect for you in the enclosed and private courtyard. A dining area and separate pergola with seating, beautiful festoon lighting and a barbecue are all available to create memorable evenings.

Even though the house is perfectly positioned for the centre of York, the Racecourse or the beautiful Yorkshire Countryside, why would you want to leave?

No 42 is a spacious and beautifully decorated place to stay, warm and cosy, with everything you could need provided. Walking distance from the city centre, and with off street parking, itÂ’s well located, and has a lovely deli right next door. Would definitely stay again.

Such an amazing property - where do I start!? Large rooms, comfortable beds, lovely court-yard. Everything you need in the kitchen from good quality cooking utensils to wireless chargers, coffee machine to iron. The owners obviously care about their guests' stay and this is shown through such thoughtful touches like a welcome hamper, washing up liquid & washing capsules, nice toiletries, great selection of books to read, fragrant reed diffusers in the rooms. Great location within walking distance of all the York attractions and restaurants. The only downside was the end of our holiday meant we had to go home! 100% recommendation!
