We stayed at 35 Cocoa Suite and had a wonderful, relaxing time. It is a bijou apartment but saying that, it had everything we wanted and needed. The fact that secure parking was included was greatly appreciated. The suite was only 5 minutes walk from the city centre which meant that we did not need to use the car, a real bonus. It was so close that you could pop back mid day or any other time just for a rest! Couple of little jobs need attending. 2 of the light bulbs were flickering when on full and need replacing. Also the sliding door to the bathroom would only slide halfway. Easy jobs to sort. Would thoroughly recommend, thanks for a great time!

An excellent week in York with perfect weather and a location that was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The location, together with the secure parking was perfect. The suite was bijou but, bearing in mind we were out most of the time, it was fine for 2 people. I would not want to be there with 4 people! The suite had everything we wanted and needed and apart from a couple of jobs that need doing (2 flickering lights and a bathroom door that wouldnt fully close), it was in good condition. Would certainly consider for another stay.

Lacking compared to other Cocoa Suite apartments

Found this apartment to be lacking compared to others we’ve stayed at in Cocoa Suites. The toilet door was broken, there was no toilet brush, the accessories were very basic and pretty old. Could have been a little bit cleaner. Overall fairly sub standard for the price.

The location was perfect five minutes stroll to town . Accommodation was very comfortable and very clean .

Here last week for a three night break. Having stayed here in the past I was not disappointed by the apartment at all. Clean, comfortable, well maintained and nicely situated in the centre of the city. Only point I’d make is that an extra bath sheet per visitor in the warm weather would have been a good idea.

Convenient location. Very clean, good heating. Car parking space very helpful. However extremely cramped and lacking in equipment and furnishings such as coffee table and bedside tables, not enough cutlery. Bed did not fold into the wall despite instructions being provided. No storage space or kitchen surface space. Oven turned off every time the oven door was opened. Ill fitting windows, very draughty. Had to keep rearranging dining room chairs to create surface space.

I found this apartment on line and based on other recommendations I booked for a short stay. Check in details emailed to me in good time and also a comprehensive set of housekeeping instructions. The apartment is well situated on the R. Foss very close to the city centre and was spotless. It’s also fitted and furnished to a high spec. The property was quiet and I was not disturbed by anyone going about their business early morning or at night. Been in other accommodation in and close to York but I’d certainly consider coming back to this property.

Lovely place with a great location. A couple of small issues when we were staying here. The heating controls were not working and the actual electric radiator panel was not attached to the wall and kept falling forward, this was quite an issue for us as we have an autistic 4 Yr old who loves running around everywhere. Unfortunately she ran into the side of this as it fell forward (she was ok, just a little wary of the room after) Even with these issues we would try it again as the building and location are fantastic.

The second time I have stayed in Cocoa Suites 35, and it is ideal location for a solo holiday. The apartment is spacious and bright, well-maintained, and is just a few minutes' walk away from the heart of the city while avoiding any bustle. I wished to extend my stay by an extra night, and the YorkStays staff were very helpful in providing this. A great place to stay with a helpful team behind it.

Lovely apartment! We went for my partners birthday. It was clean and spacious in a great location. Loved the little touches in the room (bottle of wine and a bag of treats) to make it more memorable. Would definitely stay here again!

We booked Cocoa Suites as it looked to suit us for a weekend birthday city staycation. Although we struggled finding it initially, the instructions were very clear and we were able to check in early (which was a huge bonus!) The bed was comfy, the amenities and stay York gift box were a lovely touch, and the shower was good. A great location to dip in and out of York and would be very happy to stay here again!

Small but perfect for a city break. I was staying for work but it really felt like a holiday in this beautiful little flat. Great to have on site parking too. A very short and pleasant walk into the city and York was gorgeous. The welcome pack and all the facilities were fantastic, would highly recommend.

Great location, lovely modern apartment. My only criticism is the sofa and bed are not so comfortable after a week or two.
