Superb location and luxury accommodation

The tobacconist apartment is situated in a fantastic central location. The flat itself is the epitome of stylish luxury. From the sumptuous living room with its comfortable sofas to the boutique hotel bathroom. There is a small but functional kitchen which is more than adequate but you’ll probably eat out most of the time like we did. We will definitely return to this apartment when we come back to visit York.

great location and the flat is very well presented with a great layout. very clean apart from the sofa. that just needs a good deep clean alot of strange marks on it. couple of times we had a strong smell of eggs from bathroom but went after an hour or so. would go again could just do with a deep clean.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The apartment itself is beautiful and very comfortable, and the location on Coney Street couldn’t be better – everything you’d want to see and do is just steps away. There are just a few small touches that would take the experience from great to excellent: providing more than two toilet rolls for longer stays, addressing an occasional smell from the shower drain, adding a box of tissues (we had to use toilet roll instead), and including a few extra glassware options like champagne flutes and tall glasses. Overall, though, it’s a fantastic place to stay and we will happily return.

Ok this was a lovely place to stay in the centre of York, not too far from some amazing eateries and bars. Apartment was clean enough and very comfortable. I do have two gripes though.. so the aircon is on constantly, with nothing in the apartment guide or an obvious way to disable so woke up with sore throats. The second was the smell of the drainage coming back after a bath of shower, guessing this was due to lack of usage while unoccupied.

This property is in an excellent location and reflects the photos (which are very appealing). The lovely bath and double shower are a particularly nice feature and everything is in great condition. The stays York team were available by phone for any questions and were very friendly. Great to relax in if you have been out all day (as opposed to hotel rooms which can feel cramped) and enough kitchen features to eat in simply if you have stuffed yourself amongst the lovely independent eateries in York.

An absolutely stunning apartment located in the centre of the city, 5 minute walk to both the Jorvik centre and York minster, and many shops and restaurants are very close by, we parked in the Q-park shambles car park which is a secure car park 10 minutes walk from the apartment. We had a brilliant time and York stays were very helpful, would highly recommend.

This is the best place we have ever stayed! The location is perfect, your right in the centre of York and there is multiple car parks near by to choose from. The room is huge and absolutely stunning, it felt really luxurious, we didn’t want to leave

This is an amazing place, luxurious accommodation at a very reasonable price, the best location you could get for a stay in your, the facilities and finish of the property is second to none. The only thing I would say would be to provide decent pillows and spares for those who like to be higher when sleeping, the pillows were the cheapest of the cheap and made sleeping uncomfortable. The booking was easy, the communication was excellent and check in and instructions were perfect.

I booked my stay last minute and was thrilled to have one night in The Tobacconist & Cigar Importer. The location was easy to find and all check-in instructions were clear, easy to follow, and accurate. The room itself was incredibly spacious, well-designed, and comfortable. I felt like I was staying in a luxury apartment. The space was truly beautiful, immaculately clean and well-maintained, and felt like a getaway within our holiday. I booked at the last minute so I wasn't able to stay for two nights but absolutely would have. We moved to another location for our second night in York and really missed the comfortable luxury of The Tobacconist & Cigar Importer. Beautiful space, comfortable bed, gorgeous bathroom, spacious living room... In my opinion, better than the photos conveyed. Will absolutely return next time I'm in York!

This apartment is stunning and is exactly as shown in the photos. The location is in the centre of York and everything is within walking distance. We were in York to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and having the large living room meant we could all get together for pre-dinner drinks before we went out. Check-in was very easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My partner & I Stayed at 34 Coney Street, Tobacconist & Cigar Importer apartment on Friday-Sunday to celebrate his 50th Birthday. We always use Stays York as find them excellent, however we were disappointed with this apartment. For a self catering apartment you would definitely expect more in the kitchen! 1 wine glass? no standard size glasses. Very limited kitchenware, no bottle opener, hardly anything you would expect and have had previously in other apartments. Normally the bathroom has a full bottle of shower gel/cleanser - this place had no shower gel left in the bottle. The TV did not work upon arrival either. We have received a lovely welcome pack at all the other apartments but again here - teabags and coffee and two biscuits, Very limited and not made very special. Overall disappointing considering this is one of the more expensive apartments that you have to offer.

Booked a weekend for my partners birthday and I was hoping it lived up to the photos and it really did. Absolutely beautiful, lovely furnishings, really comfortable, so nice to come back and put your feet up after a day exploring York.

These apartments are amazing! The location is right in the middle of the city centre and the decor is beautiful. I feel like there are only a couple of very minor tweaks that would make this place perfect. The bathroom door being completely see through would definitely be an issue for a lot of people. And the frosting on the bathroom window has a chunky gap around the edges - although it looks nice, it does feel like others could see in if they tried. That being said, I would very much recommend this apartment! It’s extremely luxurious and we really enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is exactly as it’s shown in the photos. The location is great for walking around York and visiting all the attractions.It’s extremely clean and well set out with everything that you may need. The only slight criticism I have is that the door to the bathroom is clear, we feel that there should be some sort of frosting put on there so you’re not in full view of each other whilst sat on the loo. Whether you’ve been together a few months or 20 years like we have there is some things you like to do in private. Saying that it wouldn’t stop us staying here again but it would make it more comfortable. We will definitely consider staying here again.

A real touch of luxury in the heart of York. The apartment was so much bigger than anything else I’ve stayed in before, huge in fact! The location was unbeatable, we were able to walk to and from the races missing all the traffic and were right in the heart of the city with restaurants, bars & shops all on the doorstep! Will be back again soon!

This place is right in the middle of York which made our trip so easy, no messing around with taxis or anything, just out the door and your there! The entire apartment was stunning and finished superbly. We are looking at staying in a different apartment in the building next time but this one will be hard to beat! They all look exceptional.

The accommodation was perfectly situated right in the centre of York and just down the road were some lovely places to eat which made this even nicer for our evening without having added hassle of booking taxis to get to places.<br /> <br /> The room was beautiful and on arrival left me not knowing where to look. The furnishings and finish were beautifully done making the room feel luxurious.<br /> <br /> I was really happy with the size of the room also, having such a large space made it feel less like a hotel room and more like a boutique apartment.<br /> <br /> This room was perfect for us, I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again soon!
