Welcome to 28 St Johns Mews. A well thought through apartment that has been furnished to a high standard throughout.
In the main living area you will find a large smart TV with complimentary Netflix for your viewing pleasure. One of the benefits of the property is the external balcony. This can be accessed via the floor-to-ceiling glass patio doors in the lounge area.
Behind the main living area there is a dining table to seat for dinner. A stylish, contemporary kitchen can also be found in this area along with all the amenities you’d expect at a property of this standard.
The property also contains two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a double in the second bedroom. The master bedroom also has a shower ensuite.
The main bathroom can be found off the hallway and features a walk in shower.
Externally there is a secure car park with allocated parking for one car.
Short stay in York
Property was great and would highly recommend. Customer service is also fantastic.
The property was very clean and the cleaning throughout our stay was great. The customer service was absolutely brilliant and any questions or issues we had were just a phone call away. The staff were very polite. The property was in great condition and the amenities at the property were super. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

Would definitely go back. We used to live in york and this is a couple of minutes walk outside the walls within easy reach of the buzz but also totally peaceful on a residential street.. felt like a home away from home and it worked as a great base to explore. Easy enough to go back to before going out again in the evening. We will book again in future.

Excellent!
Disappointing
The accommodation was in good location, working order and comfortable beds. Sadly let down by lack of attention to detail. Eg not helpful to receive a welcome hamper with coffee for cafetière when there is no cafetière provided. The oven was not clean, there were no bin bags (frustrating when the terms are to remove rubbish on departure). Very unhappy to find prior occupants lingerie in the pillow case! A mixed experience. We did report some issues to the office during our stay, but declined the offer of being reimbursed for bin bags. York is a beautiful city with friendly people. We may return to the city but disappointed and let down by Stays York on this occasion.

Central bijou flat needing tweaking
Very pleasant bijou flat, lovely quiet location just outside the city walls near the Minster. Two bathrooms ideal for three or four people. Private parking a bonus. Liked the welcome package. However, some improvements could easily be made to make the flat better: A second set of keys is essential - this is a standard everywhere else we have stayed. Bare light-bulbs in the bedrooms - made the rooms seem unfinished No mirrors in either bedroom or the hall A shelf in each bathroom for the usual toiletries would be helpful, plus coat hooks on the bathroom doors and in the hall. Curtains or blinds at the balcony window would help shade the flat in the late afternoon and evening. No hoover to clean up any crumbs, etc. Lack of comfy seats for four people - the two boudoir chairs are OK for a bedroom but not a sitting room. If you are going to cook (as we do) and not eat out every day, a few points to note: Good sharp knives! (we usually bring our own because knives are rarely this sharp!) A pizza tray for the oven - another first! But: No decent sized chopping boards - ideally need at least two or preferably three - one for bread, one for veg, one for meat. A grater is also a kitchen essential. Salad serving bowl and spoons (for the salad which goes with the pizza). Fridge / freezer is way too small for 3 or 4 people to provision and cook at the flat.
