Fantastic Apartment
We had a lovely stay at 123 Nunnery Lane. The location is on the corner of a little high street with good cafes and bakery's. We stayed with our 4month old baby and there is space to leave the stroller at the bottom of the stairs and a travel cot with a mattress which was a real bonus - she actually slept through the night for the first time ever! It is a 10-15min stroll back into town and to the train station. Some reviews mention street noise but it didn't bother us at all (and that is something that would normally keep me up!) Appreciated the phone call the day prior just to check if we had any questions etc - a nice touch.
Great winter accommodation
Very warm and cosy in winter but still very light filled space. Gorgeous accommodation in a great location.
York pre-Christmas trip
This was our 4th stay in 123 Nunnery Lane. We highly recommend for both location and the apartment itself.
Nice apartment near city center
Our stay at 123 Nunnery Lane was excellent. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood close to city center of York, just a few minutes walk. It is also located close to the railway station. The street has a lot of nice shops, cafés and pubs. 123 Nunnery Lane was a perfect place to stay and the staff at StaysYork was very helpful and professional. I really recommend this apartment.
Excellent apartment
I have stayed in 100s of countries and this was the most comfy bed I have ever slept in . Little street beside apartment had fabulous breakfast cafes and the pub street across the road was brilliant for food , music and outdoor seating . A fantastic location and walking distance to everything . The apartment was super clean and spacious and soo quiet . Loved it and I will highly recommend it to everyone
Lovely place
Really nice apartment. Loved our stay there. Only down side is there's no on site parking but it's understandable why because of where the apartment is located. Would happily go back again!
Excellent weekend in York.
Stayed for a weekend in 123 Nunnery Lane and thought it was great! Very comfortable apartment in a brilliant location. Great bars and restaurants very close by and not far to walk into the city centre. Company was very helpful to deal with and sorted access to the property early. Would recommend this apartment without hesitation.
A good size apartment and great location
We had a good stay at Nunnery Lane, restaurants just below the apartment and a Sainsburys Local were very handy. Stays York were excellent and very responsive to our queries before we arrived and the apartment was as described. Its nice when everything works smoothly!
Lovely apartment in great area
Weve been coming to 123 Nunnery Lane for a few years as we love the location and layout of the apartment. Its only a short walk into York centre and on lively Bishy Road with all the independent shops, cafés and restaurants. The apartment is bright and modern and has almost everything one needs for a holiday. However, over time the quality of the cleaning has declined and the apartment is in need of a proper deep clean. Kitchen equipment is decent but could do with stocking up, for instance glasses. We asked in advance for two duvets to be provided as I co-sleep with our 1-year-old and my husband slept on the sofa bed. I asked for a confirmation via email twice but then upon arrival only the main bed was made and we had to search the entire apartment for the second duvet, which we then found in the downstairs cupboard, dumped on the floor next to the cleaning equipment. A few previous reviews mentioned this too, so its a shame this isnt picked up with those who prepare the apartment for guests.
Spacious and comfortable
This accommodation was spacious, comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen as well. It has shops nearby for groceries as well as a number of local restaurants.
Stunning apartment great service
Weekend treat for my partner of 23 years. She was blown away at how nice and moden the accommodation was. There was a few crumbs around the dinning table and the sofa in the living room seemed very dusty so triggered a dust allergy. The bed was very comfortable but would say. Maybe to soft. To lay down on the bed, felt like you was sinking. Pillows had a musky smell. The bathroom the seemed to be an ongoing issue under the toilet slight leak. Toilet & seat quite small. Sky light can't be opened as adjoining properties windows overlook bathroom. Was rudly awakened Friday morning at 640am to the window cleaner. As I have PTSD this then triggered me all morning. 3 nights with lake of sleep takes its toll. Street noise. From traffic and drunken passers-by till all hrs 4.30am being the earliest woken by 3 men shouting outside the accommodation
Hello again, 123 Nunnery Lane!
This was our third stay at the property. A very comfortable and well equipped apartment, perfectly located for the independent shops and restaurants of Bishy Road. It isnt far from the train station or the centre of the City either. The bedroom is spacious and the bed very comfortable - though we had a rude awakening very early one morning when the window cleaner turned up unexpectedly! We appreciated having the option of a bath or shower, plus there is a washing machine - useful for longer stays. Internet is provided, but I wouldnt recommend it for streaming or making video calls. All in all, a great home from home in York. Im sure well be back again soon.
Absolutely love this apartment!
We have stayed in this apartment a number of times and it's like coming home, we love it! Fab location, quiet on an evening, short walk to centre of York. Will be booking again soon definitely.
Another stay at 123 Nunnery Lane
This was our second stay at 123 Nunnery Lane, which is well located for seeing our family who live in York. It is next to Bishopthorpe Road, which has a great collection of independent shops and eateries as well as a couple of convenience stores. Rowntree park is just down the road, There is no parking at the property, but it isnt too far from a car park. We didnt use the car all week as we walked into York every day - a pleasant 10-15 minutes to the centre. It is an easy walk from the railway station. The flat is stylishly decorated and there was plenty of room for the two of us. The bedroom is huge and we found the bed very comfortable. Nice to have the choice of a bath or shower too. Although the flat is generally well equipped, there was no fan. The flat got very hot when the temperature rose (it hit 28 degrees centigrade outside for for a couple of days during our stay). The windows only open a few centimetres for safety reasons, so it didnt really cool down overnight. I sent a couple of emails to the letting agent asking about a fan during our stay, but didnt receive a reply. The wifi is a little slow too. However, we would definitely stay here again. It is a lovely property.
Fantastic apartment
Absolutely love staying here, already booking for next visit. Close to many independent shops and cafes.
Review if 123 nunnery lane
A nice Apartment but just too loud in the evening with people and cars passing by in the early hours if the morning.
