12 Pear Tree House

Superb modern, immaculate townhouse. So close to Monk bar and the Minster. Excellent furnishings. Well fitted kitchen and bathrooms, luxurious infact! Nice and warm and cosy. Everything you would need is provided. Great attention to detail which is appreciated. The cleanest accomodation we have ever stayed in! Shout out to the cleaning team and the owner for ensuring such high standards!

This was our second visit to Pear Tree House and will definitely not be our last. Absolutely perfect in all aspects and would highly recommend this property.

A most enjoyable week with friends. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. Its in a perfect location a few minutes walk from York Minster and the centre of York, yet peaceful and quiet. Having not one, but two parking spaces was an extra benefit. We would definitely recommend staying in this property. Thank you

5/5 It is a little expensive, but well worth it. Quite location. Easy to find. 5min walk and you’re into the shops, bars and restaurants. Bathrooms are stunning, faultlessly clean, whoever cleans this place must be ex mafia. 3 story building. Floor 2 is twin beds by default, but you can request they’re made up as double. I should have done this as floor 3 is a smaller room with a double bed. As we stay as a couple with no kids this would have suited us better, saves on climbing another extra flight of stairs. No bedroom TV’s Very minor issues, and I really do mean minor. Soap dispenser in downstairs toilet is faulty. Could have done with a few washing machine tablets. (Plenty of dishwasher tablets) Frying pan needs renewing, non stick coating has worn through + no spray oil. The tv has apps like Disney, Netflix and prime. Great, but it’s logged on with someone else’s Id. if this is the owners own, then fair enough, but if it’s from a previous guest, then you’ll need to remove their usernames (potential security issue? idk) I’m a fussy bugger but this place is highly recommended, would stay here again. My 1st choice

This property is extremely well located for all the different attractions in York, and only a short walk from a wide selection of places to eat.The house was very clean on our arrival and comfortably furnished. The bathrooms were spacious and like the rest of the property well equipped. If I had one very minor addition to suggest it would be a nonslip mat for the shower over the bath as it was slippery under foot. I would whole heartedly recommend this house for getting the best from a stay in York.

We have just returned from a week at Pear Tree House. We couldn’t fault a single thing . The property is situated in an ideal location …just minutes walk from the centre of York. Despite being so central, it was very peaceful and quiet and lovely to return to after a busy day sightseeing. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well equipped . I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and we would definitely return to it were we to visit York again. Possibly the cleanest and nicest self catering property we have ever stayed in.

Great location, a few minor issues but all in all very good, easy to get too, easy access to all that York has to offer

This is an entire house with 3 floors (ground floor included) wasn't expecting it so it came as a delightful surprise. Two beautiful, tastefully done up bedrooms with soft, neutral and restful colour schemes. Each bedroom has a charming picture window and unbelievable proximity plus amazing view of the ancient city walls. The master bedroom at the topmost floor has its own separate closet, dressing room and the bathtub is a blessing at the end of a tired tourist's day! The kitchen, sitting and dining on the ground floor open up to a small backyard (which we didn't have time to use since we were too busy sightseeing) A toilet on the ground floor brings the total number of bathrooms to 2 and a half (WC and wash basin) With every amenity you can think of, the kitchen is a dream. Modern, efficient, clean to a fault and the sort of place you wish you had more time to relax in. So fortunate to have found this place and it goes without saying that we will definitely come back. Thank you Nigel and Yvonne for creating this stunning space in the City Centre. Walk out and you are just a stone's throw away from every historic landmark. The charm and beauty of Pear Tree House is how quiet and village like, yet how close to the centre it is. It is really the perfect holiday home! I had to take the time to write this review because our stay and memories of York will always include this lovely home in Pear Tree Court.
Usually there's always a little to point out, even in the best of homes but with 12 Pear Tree I am happy to say I simply cannot fault it and that's really saying something!

This property is exceptional.Its quiet, beautifully clean and top quality. Its position is 5 mins walk from the Minster and everything in York easily reached. If it has downsides, its that the living/dining area is a little small for 4 adults and the rear garden is overlooked by the walkers/tourists enjoying the city walls but didn't bother us. The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely. Parking is a real bonus. Overall, we would definitely recommend Pear Tree Court.

Great little house in central York. Well equipped, good quality furniture & appliances. Myself, husband & our friends couldn’t fault it. We had a lovely 3 night break.

My husband and I travel a ton. We are used to excellent accommodations that are clean and in great locations. This lodgings checked all of our boxes. We usually have a lot of criticism. In this case we have none. The host even left extra elec converters and needle and thread.

Fantastic location, very central to the city centre. Very clean and all facilities and extras you could want.

Second stay and as good as the first highly recommended. Location is second to none and parking place makes use of car so easy

Had a wonderful break in this beautiful townhouse. Everything you need at hand and location excellent. Owners had provided a thoughtful welcome basket and the ice in the freezer a bonus especially considering the temperatures during our stay. Will definitely plan to return

Wow what a lovely house, 5mins walk from the minster. Couldn’t ask for anymore, modern, clean, comfortable! We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend a stay here.

Perfect !!! Immaculate 2 bedroom town house, finished to an exceptional modern standard way beyond usual expectations for a holiday let. Set in a quite close within (and just under) the city walls. 2 large bedrooms, spacious kitchen diner, 2 large bathrooms, downstairs cloakroom and even a small box room/office, 2 private parking spaces in front of the property, 5 mins walk to the Shambles in one direction and the Minster in another. Supermarkets a short walk or short drive away, very well equipped kitchen perfect for a small family to self cater for days or a week plus. Could not fault in any way

Great location and well appointed townhouse. Brilliant location for access to city and very comfortable with well appointed kitchen. Parking for 2 cars a definite bonus and in quiet area too. Definitely a touch of luxury!

5 star holiday home! This house was like staying in a 5 star hotel, every little detail was thought about. Having separate bathrooms on each floor was amazing. The kitchen was beautifully designed, the TV was very good quality with access to lots of different channels, there was a downstairs toilet and it was extremely clean! It was just amazing!

We had a fantastic time in York. The house was absolutely immaculate, clean and perfectly located within easy walking distance of the city centre. We will definitely be back.

A perfect Town House for a Family Stay in the heart of Historic York. The House is in the Centre of York with the Medieval wall practically in your back garden! Parking is always difficult in York but this venue has ample outside the property, which is located in a very quiet historic road within a few minutes walk of the Monk Gate or Kings Square in the heart of York. There is a washroom on the ground floor plus Bathrooms on each of the Bedroom floors, all finished to a high standard and this makes it perfect for a Family stay! The Kitchen facilities are top-notch and you can self cater as much as you wish. As someone who knows York well, if you are looking for a venue to explore York but also have the comforts of home, then I would recommend this venue!

The home was extremely well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. Right down to milk in fridge. My son was especially very happy with the chocolates. Such attention to detail. We were so grateful for this. The level of cleanliness of the home was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless! This was such a relief to me. As I have often stayed in places that have fantastic reviews for cleanliness, but they fell really short when we got there. This really upsets me usually. But I was so pleasantly surprised here, as the reviews were correct. Whoever cleans this home is a perfectionist. The home was also decorated beautifully. With high quality appliances and furniture. No expense has been spared. We were so impressed at how close this home was to all the main attractions of York. Everything was just a short walk away, and there was 2 spaces to park the car right in front of the property. We will definitely be booking this home again, as soon as we can get down to York again. Fantastic property in an amazing location. The property was immaculate, and extremely modern and stylish. It was self accommodation, but all things we may have required were left, even ice cubes ready in the freezer. The location was excellent, literally 5 minute walk into York centre.

Perfect Pear Tree! 12 Pear Tree is perfectly located for exploring York. With parking directly outside of the property we left our car and explored the city on foot. There are lots of restaurants close by we really were spoiled for choice. The house is immaculate with everything you could possibly need for a home from home stay. Having a washing machine and tumble dryer means you can travel light. Nice touches such as Noble Isle bath products, chocolates and savoury snacks were supplied. We would highly recommend a stay at this delightful house.
